One of the oldest and most visited parks within Leavitt Township is located right at the township hall. The flowing well is known for its cool, clear water
and has been used for years by many - but be aware the water has not been tested for human consumption.
It is always a good spot to splash some cold water on yourself and cool off on those hot summer days!
Campbell Lake has another small park with swimming and fishing for families to enjoy. It is located off Beech Road on the west side of Big Campbell.
Within the Village of Walkerville, the village park has lots of places for kids and adults to enjoy, including games like GaGa Ball, Pickle Ball, and 4 Square. The bucket swings are especially popular with the youngest visitors! Look for plaques while you are there, identifying the memorial donations of equipment made by area families.
Another area visitors enjoy is the Walkinshaw Wetlands, an undeveloped piece of the Huron Manistee National Forest.
It is known for providing refuge to a large variety of bird life, especially in the spring and fall migration of Sand Hill Cranes.
The Walkinshaw is a quiet area for bird watchers and others to enjoy the solitude of its rural location.
