Leavitt Township has online access to current year Taxes and Assessing data.  Access is free for property that you own.  For all other inquires there will be a minimal charge.

Township Clean-up Day is Saturday May 19 from 8 am - 2 pm

Dumpsters will be located at the Leavitt Township Hall.  No household garbage, stumps or hazardous materials (oil, paint, sprays, chemicals, etc) will be accepted.  There will be a $5.00 charge for small tires, $10.00 for truck tires  and $20 for large equipment tires.

Proof or residency or owernship in the township ie required (tax bill or other ID)

TAXES ARE DUE TO TWP TREAS BY FEB 14, 2012. PAYMENT BY MAIL IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. YOU WILL GET A RECEIPT. POSTMARKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.   TREASURER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENTS APPLIED TO WRONG PARCEL.

IF PAYING IN PERSON OFFICE HOURS ARE AT THE TWP HALL ON THE FOLLOWING DATES AND TIMES: DEC 30, 2011 4PM-6PM, FEB 13, 2012 5PM-7PM AND FEB 29, 2012 9:30AM-2PM.

ALL 2011 TAXES RECEIVED FEB 15, 2012 THRU FEB 29, 2012 WILL BE ASSESSED A 3% PENALTY DUE TO TWP TREAS. MAR 1, 2012 & AFTER TAXES ARE DUE TO THE OCEANA COUNTY TREAS. PLUS 4% PENALTY, CO ADMIN FEE (MIN $1) PLUS A 1% INTEREST PER MONTH UNTIL PAID.  IF PAYING AFTER DUE DATE, CALL 231-854-7069 FOR AMOUNT DUE OR CHECK OUT WWW.LEAVITTTOWNSHIP.ORG. 

TAXES BECOME DELINQUENT MAR 1, 2012. ONLINE BILL PAYMENT WILL BE AVAILABLE BY JAN 6, 2012 IF NOT EARLIER.  WE WILL BE ACCEPTING MAJOR CREDIT CARDS AND E-CHECKS ONLINE ONLY.
